The Sourcing Professionals Alliance (SPA) hosted a landmark Meet & Greet Evening, marking a defining moment for the sourcing and buying fraternity in India. Conceptualized and led by Vishal Dhingra, the event witnessed participation from over 110 buying agents and liaison offices, making it a first-of-its-kind gathering for the industry.
The evening stood out for its vibrant energy, engaging interactions, and a strong sense of belongingness among members. One of the key highlights was the enthusiastic participation of young and emerging buying agents, who were actively included in discussions and decision-making processes — reflecting SPA’s progressive, inclusive, and future-oriented approach.
Over a short span, SPA has already gained recognition from various overseas trade shows and diplomats and has successfully participated in and supported six trade exhibitions, including two international trade shows, significantly strengthening its global outreach and industry presence.
Addressing the gathering, Vishal Dhingra emphasized the importance of unity, professionalism, and collective growth, encouraging members to actively contribute towards building a strong and credible platform for the sourcing community.

The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Jiro Kodera, Counsellor of Economy and Development, Embassy of Japan, New Delhi, and Ibrahim Mohammed, Commercial Counsellor & Head of Commercial and Economic Affairs, Embassy of Egypt in New Delhi. Both dignitaries appreciated SPA’s initiative and acknowledged its potential role in strengthening industry collaboration and international trade relations.
