Lectra has launched Apogy, a cloud-based product development solution that uses agentic artificial intelligence (AI) to transform how fashion products are designed, developed and prepared for production.
Positioned as a major evolution in fashion technology, Apogy brings AI, industry-specific intelligent agents and product data together in a single digital environment. The platform is designed to automate repetitive, low-value tasks, improve access to information and expertise, and accelerate product development.
Agentic AI at the Core
Apogy introduces a new generation of intelligent agents that can proactively assist product development teams, orchestrate tasks and leverage relevant product data throughout the development cycle.
From initial concepts to industrialization-ready prototypes, teams can generate and explore ideas using prompts, sketches or images, collaborate in real time and maintain full traceability of product changes.
The solution also supports digital prototyping, 3D simulations and photorealistic renderings, helping brands streamline reviews and approvals while working with standard industry formats.

“For fifty years, Lectra has helped transform the fashion industry, particularly by digitizing patternmaking. Today, agentic artificial intelligence gives us the opportunity to take a new step forward and reinvent product development as a whole,” said Maximilien Abadie, Deputy CEO of Lectra. “With Apogy, we are launching the first and only solution designed to bring together all involved parties, data and processes that shape a product. By breaking down silos and streamlining interactions across the entire ecosystem, we enable fashion companies to develop desirable, manufacturable products that meet consumer demand more quickly. Apogy ushers in a new era of product development, where artificial intelligence turns product data into a competitive advantage for fashion players.”
A key feature of Apogy is its ability to centralize product development information into a single, secure and continuously updated source of data.
By connecting fashion companies, teams, partners and suppliers in one shared environment, Lectra aims to reduce data-transfer errors, improve transparency and accelerate approval and production processes.
O’Neills, an Irish sportswear brand, is already reaping the benefits.
“For the first time in our history, all our teams are using a single solution. This harmonization eliminates errors linked to data transfers, increases transparency and now enables us to accelerate operations, improve productivity and effectively support our growth,” said David Towell, Senior Manager at O’Neills.
“New generations expect to work with cutting-edge tools. By equipping our teams with Apogy, a solution designed natively for the AI era and featuring advanced capabilities, we are strengthening our ability to attract, develop and retain the next generation of talent in product development roles, particularly in modelling within the Oniverse group,” said Riccardo Romani, Operations Director at Oniverse, an international fashion group comprising several brands, including Calzedonia, Intimissimi and Tezenis.
Preserving Fashion Industry Expertise
Beyond automation, Apogy is designed to capture and share organizational knowledge. By leveraging existing expertise, the platform can reduce reliance on a limited number of specialists while helping organizations develop new talent.
Oniverse, the international fashion group behind brands including Calzedonia, Intimissimi and Tezenis, is also adopting the technology. Riccardo Romani, Operations Director at Oniverse, said advanced AI-enabled tools can help attract, develop and retain the next generation of product development professionals.
Lectra’s Next Chapter in Fashion Technology
Apogy represents a significant new step for Lectra, which has spent decades developing digital solutions for the fashion industry, including Modaris, ModarisPGS and Gerber AccuMark.
Developed over three years in close consultation with dozens of customers, Apogy is delivered as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and is designed to continuously expand its AI capabilities.
With fashion brands under pressure to shorten collection cycles, respond faster to changing consumer demand and manage increasingly complex supply chains, Lectra believes agentic AI could become a major competitive tool in product development.
