Orange Group Launches Syahi Ink Manufacturing Business at Gartex 2026

Orange Group has officially launched Syahi, its dedicated ink manufacturing business, marking the company’s expansion beyond its traditional machinery operations into ink production.

The new venture was unveiled at an industry exhibition, where the company outlined its plans to establish ink manufacturing as an independent business vertical. The move comes as India continues to strengthen its capabilities across dyes, chemicals and textile manufacturing.

Syahi’s existing manufacturing plant in Surat currently has a production capacity of 200 tonnes per month. The company is also developing a new 50,000 sq. ft. facility, with production expected to commence in April. Once operational, the expansion is expected to take the company’s total production capacity to approximately 450–500 tonnes per month.

According to the company, the objective is not simply to extend its machinery business into ink manufacturing, but to develop a dedicated platform for producing different varieties of inks in India with consistent quality and the technical capabilities required by the industry.

Karan Toshniwal, director at Orange Group and a key member involved in developing the ink manufacturing vertical, has been closely associated with the establishment and expansion of the plant. Toshniwal was unable to attend the exhibition as he was travelling.

The launch of Syahi marks a significant step in Orange Group’s diversification strategy. By investing in dedicated manufacturing infrastructure, the company aims to build greater in-house capability and participate more extensively in the textile and printing value chain.

The upcoming facility is expected to significantly increase production capacity and provide the foundation for further expansion of Syahi’s product portfolio.

With Syahi, Orange Group is looking to build a dedicated ink manufacturing business in India, combining local manufacturing capabilities with the quality and consistency expected by the industry.

The launch marks a new phase for Orange Group as it expands from machinery into manufacturing and adds another capability to its growing business portfolio.
