GUCCI RESUME PRESENCE AT MILAN FASHION WEEK

After a long pause due to Covid 19 Gucci Italy’s biggest luxury brand is resuming its presence at the Milan Fashion week.

The brand after a long time will show a mixed-gender collection in Milan in February, and will stage showcase two other shows next year in spring and September.

Releasing fashion films, virtual runway shows and staging destination events had become the most common way for the brand to unveil its latest collections.

Gucci parent Kering’s French brands, including Balenciaga and Saint Laurent have also decided to come back to physical show.

Several smaller brands like Alaia, Jacquemus and Y/Project have shifted to showing women’s ready-to-wear during menswear or couture, but Gucci’s return makes LVMH’s Celine the biggest remaining holdout among luxury brands who stepped off the calendar.
