Vardhman Textiles Q1 Profit Climbs 51% to ₹315 Crore

Vardhman Textiles has started FY27 on a strong note, posting a significant improvement in both revenue and profitability during the first quarter.

The company reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹2,703.03 crore for Q1 FY27, representing a 13.3% year-on-year increase and an 8.21% rise compared with the previous quarter. Total income also advanced 13.24% year on year to ₹2,781.14 crore.

Profitability saw a much sharper improvement. Profit before tax increased 51.41% to ₹418.07 crore, compared with the corresponding period last year. Net profit rose by 51.46% to ₹314.56 crore, up from ₹207.68 crore in Q1 FY26.

The company’s Textiles business continued to account for the bulk of its earnings. Segment revenue expanded to ₹2,648.18 crore from ₹2,342.32 crore a year earlier. Segment profit before tax and interest also strengthened considerably, reaching ₹434.36 crore, compared with ₹300.68 crore in the same quarter of FY26.

Another positive development came from the Acrylic Fibre business, which turned profitable during the quarter. The segment recorded a result of ₹17.60 crore, reversing a loss of ₹0.86 crore reported in Q1 FY26.

With the improvement in earnings, consolidated EPS increased to ₹10.88, compared with ₹7.28 in the year-ago quarter.

The Q1 performance indicates stronger operating momentum for Vardhman Textiles, with growth in its core textile business complemented by a turnaround in Acrylic Fibre.
