Deepak Tankala has been appointed Regional Head – Worsted Yarn at Grasim Industries Limited, part of the Aditya Birla Group, taking on a strategic leadership role within the company’s textile business.
A seasoned textile industry professional, Tankala brings extensive experience across brand marketing, commercial leadership, international markets, yarn business development and market strategy. His appointment comes at a time when the textile industry continues to focus on strengthening value-added yarn businesses and expanding global market opportunities.
Prior to joining Grasim Industries, Tankala served as Head of Brand Marketing at Sutlej Textiles and Industries Ltd., where he developed strong expertise in brand strategy, market positioning and business development within the textile sector.
Earlier in his career, he served as Country Head at Sulochana Cotton Spinning Mills Pvt. Ltd. in Bangladesh, gaining significant international exposure and experience in managing business operations across markets.
Over the course of his career, Tankala has built a strong combination of textile domain expertise, brand leadership, international business exposure, commercial strategy and market development.
In his new role at Grasim Industries, he is expected to contribute to strengthening the company’s worsted yarn business, expanding market opportunities and driving strategic growth.
