Industry Outlook Remains Positive

Speaking at the inauguration, Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, said the Indian apparel industry continues to witness healthy momentum, particularly in Tier II and Tier III markets.

“The Indian apparel market is on a steady growth trajectory, driven by rising consumption in smaller cities and deeper market penetration through e-commerce. NGF comes at an ideal time, enabling retailers to source the latest collections while helping manufacturers build meaningful partnerships ahead of the country’s most important retail season,” he said.

Retail Leaders Highlight NGF’s Business Value

Rohit Kedia, representing Baazar Style Retail Ltd., said the company’s vision has always been to make affordable fashion accessible across India.

“CMAI has created a platform that connects retailers with manufacturers under one roof. Our entire buying team is here, and we look forward to discovering new collections and strengthening partnerships,” he remarked.

Sharing his long association with the fair, Pankaj Mirchandani of G. Sachanand/Kalamandir said NGF has played a defining role in the company’s growth journey.

“We first attended NGF in 2000 when we were new to the garment business. Since then, every edition has brought new learning, new relationships and new business opportunities,” he noted.

Divesh Malve, Taruni Clothing Pvt. Ltd., expressed gratitude to CMAI for recognising the brand and acknowledged NGF’s contribution towards the company’s expansion over the years.

“The 83rd National Garment Fair reflects the strength and diversity of India’s apparel industry. With dedicated venues for womenswear and menswear, the fair offers focused sourcing experiences while creating opportunities for MSMEs, established brands, manufacturers and retailers to collaborate and grow together,” he said.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several CMAI office bearers including Ankur Gadia, Anand Chokshi, Paresh Vora, Mukesh Jain, Dinesh Nandu, Rahul Mehta, along with members of the CMAI Managing Committee and prominent industry leaders.
