BUYERS CANCELLING ORDERS EXPOSES INDUSTRY TO HUGE RISK

When the world is going through one of the darkest phases in human history life is not easy for anyone. Exporters who have tirelessly created the most innovative fashion for consumers are in deep crisis.

The lockdown in several parts of the world has resulted in closure of stores of all brands and retail chains; in fact US, EU and Middle East which remains the most important market for Indian manufactures are the worst affected areas. In such a scenario many exporters reported cancellation of orders; delay in payments or no payments and change in policies.

Even the Textile Minister has appealed the buyers to do business with compassion and not cancel orders; however, so far there is no respite and cancellation of orders is being reported from small, medium and big companies.
