Anubhav Kumar Dalmia has shared that he is starting a new position as Deputy General Manager – Buying Apparel at Babyshop, marking an important milestone in his professional journey. His elevation reflects Babyshop’s confidence in his leadership capabilities and deep expertise in apparel buying, sourcing, and category management across international markets.
Dalmia has been an integral part of Babyshop for several years, most recently leading Apparel Buying and Sourcing for the Southeast Asia region. In this role, he played a pivotal part in store expansion across Malaysia and Indonesia, while successfully establishing local sourcing to contribute a significant share of business revenue. His work spanned end-to-end buying and sourcing, including assortment planning aligned to local demand, vendor development, quality and cost management, logistics coordination, and close collaboration with planning teams to maximize commercial outcomes.
Before this, he gained valuable leadership exposure as a Business Manager at New Modi Machinery, where he worked on product marketing, decision-making, and operational management. Earlier in his career, he served as a Buyer at BMA International FZE, handling the Boys’ Senior category, further strengthening his understanding of international buying, product development, and team leadership within the kidswear segment.
Dalmia began his career in apparel buying with Babyshop as an Assistant Buyer, where he was involved in building boys’ wear ranges, collection and category planning, vendor management, costing, logistics coordination, and merchandising. He also played a key role in driving PLM system implementation for clothing buying. With this strong foundation and diverse global experience, Anubhav Kumar Dalmia is well positioned to lead Babyshop’s apparel buying function and support the brand’s continued growth and evolution.
