Shalini Jaiswal has shared that she is excited to begin a new role as Senior Buyer at Tata Trent (Retail), based in Mumbai. In this position, she will be responsible for buying for Westside’s womenswear brand, Wunderlove, contributing to product strategy, assortment planning, and market-relevant selections for one of India’s leading fashion retail platforms.
Shalini brings strong experience across lingerie, sleepwear, and womenswear categories. Prior to joining Tata Trent, she worked with Baazar Retail Pvt. Ltd. as Manager – Lingerie and Sleepwear, where she led category planning, sourcing, and range development. Before that, she was associated with Reliance Retail as Deputy Manager – Merchandise Buyer (Lingerie), handling buying responsibilities for a large-scale retail environment.
Earlier in her career, Shalini served as an Assistant Buyer at Max Fashion India, working within the lingerie division, and as a Product Merchandiser at Dixcy Textiles Pvt. Ltd., where she played a key role in launching lingerie as a category for the Slimz brand and managed Levi’s innerwear for the Indian market. These roles helped her build deep expertise in product development, vendor management, and category growth.
Shalini’s professional journey began with hands-on merchandising and buying exposure through internships and early roles with Nida Mahmood – India, India Today, and Ruben Galarreta (Menswear), where she worked on market research, trend forecasting, sourcing, PR, and CRM. With a well-rounded background across leading Indian fashion retailers and brands, Shalini is well positioned to add value in her new role at Tata Trent and drive impactful buying strategies for Westside’s womenswear portfolio.
