Shiv Kumar Chaudhary, the visionary founder of Pratibha Syntex Ltd., passed away in the early hours of 17th June, leaving behind a legacy defined by purpose-driven leadership, compassion, and transformative impact.
A pioneer of India’s textile industry, Shri Chaudhary founded Pratibha Syntex with a vision far ahead of its time. From humble beginnings—a spinning unit with 25,000 spindles and 200 employees—he nurtured it into one of India’s most respected vertically integrated textile enterprises, encompassing spinning, knitting, dyeing, and garmenting. His foresight culminated in the launch of Pratibha Swaraj in 2022, a future-ready facility for sustainable and seamless apparel manufacturing.
Beyond industry, he was a deeply compassionate leader, committed to creating lasting social change. Through the Pratibha Foundation, he championed initiatives in child education, healthcare, and rural development. His active role in the Friends of Tribal Society brought education and hope to remote tribal communities across the country.
Shri Chaudhary will be remembered not only for the institution he built but for the countless lives he uplifted—with humility, wisdom, and generosity. His legacy will continue to guide and inspire generations to come.
