Indian textile company GHCL registers 18% growth in revenue

GHCL, an Indian textile company, has released the financial report for the third quarter.

For the reporting quarter, the revenue of the textile manufacturer remained Rs. 875 crore as compared to Rs. 738 crore last year, up by 18 percent.

The EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) of GHCL increased by 33 percent from Rs. 158 crore last year to Rs. 210 crore this year.

Additionally, PAT (profit after tax) jumped 44 percent to Rs. 102 crore versus Rs. 71 crore in last fiscal.

In particular, home textile business grew by 34 percent to Rs. 324 crore compared to Rs. 241 crore in the corresponding of the previous fiscal. Notably, GHCL’s home textile products are exported to UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Germany and European Union.

R S Jalan, MD, GHCL commented, “The textile business has shown growth due to a higher volume, stable Rupee and change in GHCL’s perception in the market place to offer high quality and innovative product line.”
