Ramakrishnan will spearhead brand strategy, integrated marketing and digital-led consumer engagement as Levi’s looks to strengthen its connection with India’s younger audience.
Levi’s has appointed Ashwini Ramakrishnan as Brand Lead – India, bringing an experienced marketing professional into a key role as the denim major continues to build its presence in the Indian market.
Ramakrishnan will take charge of the Levi’s brand function in India, with responsibilities spanning brand strategy, creative development, integrated campaigns, digital marketing and social media-led consumer engagement. Her mandate will cover the broader brand portfolio and focus on creating stronger connections with India’s increasingly digital-first consumer base.
She joins Levi Strauss & Co. from Cleartrip, where she spent around nine months as Head of Brand Marketing. During her tenure, she handled brand positioning, creative strategy, social media and integrated campaign planning.
Ramakrishnan has built her career across retail, e-commerce, travel and media, bringing more than a decade of experience in consumer marketing. Before Cleartrip, she was associated with FabAlley, where she led brand and marketing initiatives. Her earlier experience with media agencies also involved working on major consumer-facing brands.
Her expertise spans consumer insights, digital brand building, creative storytelling and performance-led marketing—capabilities that are becoming increasingly important as fashion and lifestyle brands compete for the attention of younger consumers.
At Levi’s India, her role is expected to extend across campaign development, creator and influencer partnerships, social media, retail marketing and community engagement. The broader objective will be to translate Levi’s global heritage into locally relevant conversations while keeping the brand connected to evolving fashion and youth culture.
The appointment comes at a time when international fashion brands are placing greater emphasis on localised storytelling, omnichannel consumer experiences and creator-driven communication. Ramakrishnan’s experience across digital and consumer businesses positions her to play a key role in shaping Levi’s next phase of brand engagement in India.
