Indian Textile Ministry highlights accomplishments in national capital

Indian Textile Ministry is currently holding a two-day event, on January 5 and 6 in New Delhi, to bring to light the achievements of the sector.

The two-day event was today inaugurated with a textiles show ‘Artisan Speak’ at Red Fort.

Tomorrow, an event on the “Accomplishments and Way Forward for Textiles Sector” will be hosted by the Minister herself, Smriti Zubin Irani.

A short film on the achievements will be projected, followed by panel discussions on topics such as technical textiles, ease of doing textiles business and access to global markets and supply chains.

Minister of State for Textiles, Ajay Tamta, Secretary Textiles, Raghvendra Singh and other senior officers of the Textiles Ministry and other Ministries will also be present.

The event will also chart out a roadmap for building new capabilities for sustainable and resource efficient growth of the textiles sector.
