America’s Gerber Technology adds MCT Digital to its acquisition tally

In the latest update, US-based Gerber Technology, a provider of software and automated solutions to the global apparel industry, has acquired tech firm MCT Digital.

With this acquisition, Gerber would now be able to add MCT’s high-end large-format laser cutting technology to its popular finishing solutions, hardware and software product range.

“The product leadership, engineering and technical knowledge of these two companies, creates countless opportunities to help our customers improve their productivity, streamline their workflows and improve overall efficiency,” averred Scott Schinlever, President & Chief Operating Officer, Automation Solutions for Gerber Technology.

Gerber’s global reach and support service network will allow its 78,000 customers in 134 countries, including more than 100 Fortune 500 companies in apparel and accessories, home and leisure segments, to boost their operations with MCT’s portfolio of print-to cut software and finishing technology in several markets.

Both the companies aim to exploit high-speed digital printing, which continues to change many industries world over, including fashion and textile.
