Dr. Shripad Hegde has announced the start of a new chapter in his professional journey as Brand – Quality Head at Gokaldas Exports Limited. In this role, he will lead brand-specific quality strategy and execution, ensuring consistent adherence to global quality standards while strengthening systems that support product excellence across diverse buyer portfolios.
A seasoned quality professional with decades of experience in the apparel and export industry, Dr. Hegde brings deep expertise in quality assurance, vendor development, and large-scale team leadership. Prior to rejoining Gokaldas Exports in this leadership capacity, he was associated with Shahi Exports Pvt. Ltd., where he held senior positions including Associate Vice President – Quality Assurance and Senior General Manager – Quality Assurance, overseeing complex quality operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Dr. Hegde has had a long and impactful association with Gokaldas Exports earlier in his career as well, where he served in leadership roles such as Head – Quality and General Manager – Quality Assurance. During this phase, he was responsible for managing corporate quality teams, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring delivery of products that met stringent buyer specifications across global brands.
His career foundation spans international and domestic apparel organizations, including key roles at Mexx (India and International), Triburg in Dubai, City Swingers, and In-Wear Apparels. Across these assignments, Dr. Hegde has played a critical role in building quality frameworks, launching new buyer programs, developing vendors, and leading production and quality teams. His return to Gokaldas Exports as Brand – Quality Head reinforces the company’s focus on quality leadership and operational excellence as it continues to serve global apparel brands.
