Levis Strauss & Co. Ranks Second in Apparel Among Fortune’s Most Admired Companies

Levi Strauss & Co. has been included, for the third year in a row, in Fortune’s annual list of the World’s Most Admired Companies – ranking second among the top five apparel companies globally.

The company has done a lot in the past year — from operating through the COVID-19 pandemic and expanding the portfolio with the acquisition of Beyond Yoga to releasing the first stand-alone sustainability and DEI reports and remaining a purpose-driven company with the Buy Better, Wear Longer campaign, and the paid leave programs and advocacy.

The list was compiled by Fortune and Korn Ferry based on a survey of corporate reputation. First, candidates for the list (based on revenue) were scaled down from 1,500 to 670 in 30 countries.

The top-rated companies were picked from that pool of 670.

To determine the best-regarded companies in 52 industries, Korn Ferry asked executives, directors and analysts who work at the companies to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria sections.

LS&Co. saw top five scores for all criteria sections within the apparel industry list. Those include:

  • Innovation
  • People Management
  • Use of Corporate Assets
  • Social Responsibility
  • Quality of Management
  • Financial Soundness
  • Long-Term Investment Value
  • Quality of Products/Services
  • Global Competitiveness
