The Garment Technology Expo (GTE’20), one of the most trusted brands as far as exhibitions related to apparel technology is concerned is geared for its 20 years of establishments and success in the garment industry. The next show which will be held in 2020 is important for the organisers as GTE would be completing 20 years. The edition will also coincide with Sewing Industry’s 30 years celebration.
“This year’s GTE exhibition holds a very special value in our heart as the show will be completing 20 years. With enhanced commitment towards making our nature and environment cleaner this year theme would ‘GREEN GTE’,” said INDERJIT SINGH SAHNI, CHAIRMAN, GTE.
“Keeping in mind the growing concerns regarding environment we have decided to GO Green and ensure that we do not harm mother earth and use all ways to organise show in an environment friendly manner with less wastage and use of plastic material,” added Inderjit Singh.
Talking about plans to add some new pavilions or segments at the exhibition Ricky Sahni, Joint Director, GTE said, “We are in talks with Korean companies for a separate Korean Pavilion. However, this will be confirmed only after CISMA”.
Amidst slow market situation GTE had a successful three day show in Ahmedabad recently. The show concluded on a good note with decent footfall on all three days.
GTE Delhi is now looking forward to have around 375 exhibitors and around 1000 brands to participate with them in 2020. The organisers plan to offer additional value and services to its participants’ business by giving them access to potential and valuable visitors from the industry who are enthusiastic about adopting latest technology in the garment business.
“We plan to invest good sum in promoting event all over India through campaigns, whatsapp messages and collaborations with garment manufacturers and exporters associations. We plan to use power of both print and online media for promotions of the show,” said Ambrish Chopra, Director, GTE.

Sahni informed GTE’2020 is expecting around 25,000 visitors at the show and a growth of 5%. “We have enhanced our focus on getting visitors from upcoming manufacturing hubs and clusters like Ranchi, Amravati, Andhra Pradesh and many more and this has further helped us in getting desired results in terms of visitation at the show,” informed Ricky Sahni.
The GTE show which will be held in NSIC Okhla from 10th -13th January, will see latest from all areas like cutting, sewing, finishing, laundry, CAD/CAM, fabrics, digital printing, embroidery, garment accessories, ERP solutions, spare parts and many more.
