Boohoo Group has announced the promotion of Sophie Rycroft to the position of Responsible Sourcing Director. Rycroft succeeds Andrew Reaney, who has transitioned to a new role at PDS Group.
Rycroft, who first joined Boohoo in 2013 as a buyer, has progressively advanced within the company. She became Lead Buyer in 2016 and Head of Buying in 2018.
Since 2020, she has been a key figure in Boohoo’s sourcing department, most recently serving as Group Head of Sourcing and Ethical Trade since 2023.
Before her tenure at Boohoo, Rycroft built her career at Arcadia, where she spent six years beginning in 2007.
In her new role, which she assumed earlier this month following a transition period, Rycroft will oversee Boohoo’s responsible sourcing initiatives.
She takes over from Andrew Reaney, who was appointed Responsible Sourcing Director in September 2020 after his previous role as Operations Director at Primark.
Reaney has now joined PDS Group as CEO of PDS Online Enterprise, a newly established division focused on providing end-to-end sourcing services to online retailers, with an emphasis on the US market.
