Texprocess LIVE: Gerber Technology Exhibits Special Printing Solution

At Texprocess’19, Connecticut based Gerber Technology, came up with an end-to-end solution specially designed for the exhibition that empowers personalisation with a Factory of the Future.

Gerber exhibited the end-to-end solution that seamlessly takes up the tasks from design to print to cut. They also presented a number of their latest integrated technologies including the newest releases of YuniquePLM®product lifecycle management software, as well as AccuMark®, the industry-leading pattern design, grading, marker making and production planning software, AccuMark 3D and AccuPlan™.

Gerber also showcased how data can be passed seamlessly to the cut room to industry 4.0 enabled smart machines like the GERBERspreader™ XLs Series and the Gerber Paragon® line of multi-ply GERBERcutters that can process a job with the simple scan of a barcode. In addition Gerber also was an integral contributor to the “Smart Textiles Micro-Factory” exhibit.“At Gerber we have always put our customers at the center of what we do, providing them with industry-leading, innovative solutions they need to meet today’s challenges,” said MohitUberoi, CEO of Gerber Technology. “This year we are renewing our entire software portfolio through an aggressive product launch schedule, empowering our customers to create and produce in an instant and become a leader in innovation.”

Yvonne Heinen-Foudeh, marketing and communications director, EMEA for Gerber Technology shared with Team PS, “We have our end-to-end solution that we have configured for the Texprocess show. Next we have a digital printer from Mimaki which as we see has endless ways to print fabrics. It not only can print a huge variety of designs but also reprint the fabric design on it directly in the form of cut-pieces.”

Explaining through their exhibited machines, Yvonne further shared, “There is another machine over here that has orchestrated the speed of a digital printer to the cutter. It has a scanner embedded and this scanner would take the images on the fabric and calculate the fastest way to cut the fabric through intelligent technology. That means you have the whole process in one machine.”The end-to-end solution follows the on demand trend. Its 2D and 3D construction, marker making, grading system are quite in demand. “With the solutions Gerber has come up with a software subscription system, meaning one does not need to buy heavy IT infrastructure and the software but subscribe and enjoy the latest updates and work through cloud. Yvonne informed, “Many customers may be hesitant at this moment due to security and all but it is the future according to us. It saves cost and time both.”

With a full suite of cutting-edge solutions that increase creativity, productivity and efficiency the end-to-end solution passed a real world test as they reveal the Waldrip Collection. The collection was acollaboration between Gerber and designer Stephanie London.

Reportedly, Gerber saw45-50% visitors from Germany at Texprocess. Also there have been visitors from France, South-East Asia, Spain, Latin America like Colombia, Brazil.
