Marks and Spencer Reliance India Private Limited has appointed Prateek Kumar as Head of Retail, as the company continues to strengthen and expand the presence of British fashion and lifestyle retailer Marks & Spencer in the Indian market.
In his new role, Kumar will be responsible for leading the company’s retail operations and supporting the continued growth of the Marks & Spencer business across India.
The appointment comes at a time when the British retailer is focusing on strengthening its footprint in one of the world’s fastest-growing consumer markets. India remains an important market for Marks & Spencer, with the brand operating through its partnership with Reliance Retail.

The India business is operated through Marks and Spencer Reliance India Private Limited, a joint venture between Marks & Spencer and Reliance Retail. The partnership combines the British retailer’s global fashion expertise with Reliance’s extensive retail infrastructure and understanding of the Indian consumer market.
