Giuseppe Marsocci Named CEO of Giorgio Armani Group After Leadership Transition

Following the passing of founder Giorgio Armani, the iconic Italian fashion house has named veteran luxury executive Giuseppe Marsocci as its new Chief Executive Officer — signalling one of the most pivotal leadership transitions in the brand’s history.

Marsocci, 61, brings over three decades of global fashion industry experience — and a deep 23+ year legacy inside the Armani organisation where he held multiple top strategic roles across different geographies and business units, most recently serving as Deputy Managing Director & Global Chief Commercial Officer.

Throughout his career at Armani, Marsocci also held roles such as:

Board President and CEO – Giorgio Armani Retail

Board President / Board Director for multiple Armani Group companies in Italy & overseas

CEO – Giorgio Armani Corporation (USA)

Chief Executive Officer – Swiss Branch / Group Wholesale Commercial Director

Before Armani, he also built international experience with leading global fashion players — including senior assignments at Fila, Marzotto Group and earlier roles connected to brands like Hugo Boss, Marlboro Classics, Lebole and private labels.

Marsocci will now report to the board chaired by Leo Dell’Orco, as the Group also moves towards a strategic ownership plan outlined in Armani’s will — which includes a planned sale of a 15% stake in the company in its upcoming phase.

This appointment not only brings continuity — it secures Armani’s legacy under a leader who knows the brand, the product, the global demand curves and the luxury distribution game from the inside.

A seasoned insider — now at the helm — at a time when heritage, brand equity and succession matter more than ever for luxury.
