uxury at Risk: Hackers Breach Gucci, Balenciaga & Alexander McQueen Customer Data

The world of high fashion has been shaken by a major cyberattack targeting the luxury fashion group Kering, parent company of brands like Gucci, Balenciaga, and Alexander McQueen. Hackers have stolen private data belonging to potentially millions of customers, including names, phone numbers, and email addresses.

According to Kering, the breach took place in June and was carried out by the notorious hacking group Shiny Hunters, known for ransom-driven attacks. Fortunately, the company confirmed that no financial details—such as bank accounts, credit card information, or government-issued IDs—were compromised.

While investigations are ongoing, this incident highlights the growing vulnerabilities of luxury brands in the digital era. As fashion increasingly blends with technology, customer data security has become as crucial as brand prestige.
