Epic Group and Creative Group Launch Joint Venture 'SPECTRA' to Revolutionize Apparel Manufacturing in India

In a landmark move that underscores a shared commitment to sustainability, innovation, and industrial growth, Epic Group and Creative Group have officially announced the formation of SPECTRA, a strategic joint venture poised to redefine the apparel manufacturing landscape in India.

Guided by Epic Group Chairman Mr. Ranjan Mahtani and Creative Group Chairman Mr. Vijay Agarwal, SPECTRA is the result of months of collaboration that began with a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding signed on January 9, 2025. The venture has now solidified with a formal shareholder agreement and an initial investment of USD 15 million, with a targeted revenue of ₹500 crores (USD 60 million) in the coming years.

A Flagship Project for Denim & Bottoms

The first major initiative under the SPECTRA umbrella is a state-of-the-art Denim & Bottoms manufacturing facility with a monthly production capacity of 700,000 units. This facility is set to become one of the largest of its kind in India, bolstering the nation’s stature as a global hub for high-quality denim production.

Commitment to Sustainability and Community Empowerment

At its core, SPECTRA is built on four foundational pillars:

  • Sustainability: The new facility will operate on green energy, striving to maintain a minimal carbon footprint.

  • Employment Generation: The venture will initially create 3,000 jobs, eventually scaling up to 10,000, unlocking significant employment opportunities.

  • Innovation: Cutting-edge manufacturing technologies will be deployed to set new benchmarks in production efficiency and product quality.

  • Community and Environmental Impact: A long-term vision for aligning industrial growth with social responsibility and ecological preservation.

Strategic Collaboration

SPECTRA leverages Epic Group’s global experience in large-scale apparel production and Creative Group’s five-decade legacy in India’s textile industry. This synergy is expected to yield high value for global clients while strengthening India’s positioning in sustainable apparel manufacturing.

With the groundwork laid and operations set to commence soon, SPECTRA promises to be a game-changer, ushering in a new era of responsible and high-volume manufacturing in India’s apparel sector.
