Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav unveiled major plans for Jabalpur’s industrial expansion during the Regional Industry Conclave at the Subhash Chandra Bose Cultural and Information Center. Key announcements include the establishment of an ultra-modern Skill Development Center for the textile sector and the launch of 67 new industrial units across various sectors.
An advanced facility will be set up in Jabalpur to focus on textile skills, offering significant employment opportunities, particularly for women.
A Rs. 600 crore agreement between Ashok Leyland and Armored Vehicle Corporation Limited will advance defense equipment manufacturing, including tank production.
Industrial Expansion: Dr. Yadav performed the groundbreaking for 67 new industrial units with an investment of ₹1,500 crores, set to create approximately 12,000 jobs. Letters of intent for land allocation were issued to these units.
Plans are underway for investments in textile, pharmaceutical, and tourism industries, with two mega food parks and additional food processing units also in the pipeline.
Dr. Yadav highlighted the state’s favorable conditions for investment, including transparent mining auction processes and a supportive environment for IT, food processing, and other sectors. The conclave saw participation from over 4,000 stakeholders, including international and national industrialists, marking a significant milestone for Madhya Pradesh’s economic development.
The event also featured discussions on the state’s IT, ITES, and ESDM Policy 2023, with a focus on attracting further investments and exploring new opportunities in various sectors.
