Former Paula’s Choice CEO brings over 30 years of experience in apparel, specialty retail and beauty as Lululemon sharpens its product-led growth strategy.

US-based athletic apparel brand Lululemon Athletica has appointed former Chief Product Officer Tara Poseley to its board of directors, effective October 19, 2026. The appointment brings extensive product development, merchandising and retail leadership experience to the board as the company focuses on strengthening its brand positioning and competitive edge.

Poseley brings more than 30 years of executive experience across specialty retail, apparel and beauty. She most recently served as CEO of Paula’s Choice Skincare from 2016 to 2023. Before that, she was Lululemon’s Chief Product Officer from 2013 to 2015 and president of Kmart Apparel. She also held senior product and marketing positions during nearly 15 years at Gap.

Lululemon board chair Marti Morfitt said Poseley combines creative instinct with deep product expertise and experience in leading and scaling retail businesses. Her previous leadership role at Lululemon is expected to provide valuable insights as the company works to reinvigorate its brand, strengthen its market position and enhance shareholder value.

The appointment expands Lululemon’s board to 13 directors, including 12 independent members. It follows a cooperation agreement signed with company founder Dennis “Chip” Wilson on May 26, 2026.

Wilson welcomed the appointment, highlighting Poseley’s understanding of the brand and her product expertise. He described the move as a positive step towards reinforcing Lululemon’s product-first vision and creating long-term shareholder value.

Chief Executive Officer Heidi O’Neill also emphasised the importance of Poseley’s guidance as Lululemon places product, design and innovation at the centre of its operations and future growth strategy.

Poseley said she was honoured to join the board at a pivotal time for the company. She highlighted Lululemon’s culture of innovation and its commitment to delivering exceptional products and guest experiences, adding that she looks forward to supporting the leadership team in advancing its strategic priorities.

The appointment underscores Lululemon’s continued emphasis on product excellence, design-led innovation and long-term brand development as it navigates its next phase of growth.
