Ethnic wear brand Biba has collaborated with famed traditional wear designer Rohit Bal on a line of occasion wear, which is set to launch on Biba’s e-commerce store.
The Biba x Rohit Bal ‘Ghewar Collection’ for autumn/winter 2021 will bring Rohit Bal’s luxury traditional wear to a wider audience.
Rohit Bal runs numerous labels from his eponymous brand’s e-commerce site for couture, menswear, women’swear, jeans, and ‘Balance by Rohit Bal’, a more affordable line of occasion wear.
Bal, originally from Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, set up his first brand in 1990 and has become known for his flamboyant, opulent style. The designer has previously collaborated with brands including Rolls Royce, Reid & Taylor, Omega, Tag Heuer, Mitsubishi for Outlander, Ege Carpets of Denmark, Oriflame, and Aditya Birla Group Linen Club, among others.
Biba retails its range of womens wear, children’s wear, accessories, and lifestyle items from its dedicated e-commerce store and brick-and-mortar outlets across India and internationally.
The brand also has a collaborative line with Indian couturier Anju Modi.
