In a significant milestone, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has announced that its turnover has exceeded Rs 1.5 lakh crore for the fiscal year 2024. This marks a substantial increase in the organization’s financial performance, reflecting robust growth in the khadi and village industries sector.
KVIC Chairman, Vinai Kumar Saxena, highlighted that the commission’s efforts in promoting rural entrepreneurship and self-employment have led to the creation of 10 lakh new jobs over the past year. Saxena attributed this success to the government’s supportive policies and the increasing popularity of khadi products among consumers.
The KVIC’s achievements underscore its pivotal role in the socio-economic development of rural India, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing livelihoods and fostering sustainable economic growth across the country.
