The RealReal, a leader in authenticated luxury consignment, has released a report on Holiday Resale, recently. For its report, the company intended to assist holiday shoppers purchase gifts that “keep on giving” by listing items with the best resale value, as well as those whose value are on the slump.
In its report, the company claims that fashion brands Hermès, Gucci and Canada Goose are at the top of the ‘resale’ value.
The report states that for women’s, Hermès remains the first choice because of its Birkin, Kelly and Constance bags, which have risen in resale value by 7 percent. Moncler products retail for up to 90 percent of their original price during the holidays.
Additionally, resale value for Tory Burch and Miu Miu clothing brands has dropped by 16 and 7 percent, respectively.
Italian fashion house Gucci is the most giftable brand found in the men’s segment. And, Canada Goose grabbed an 82 percent resale value, and the mounting resale value of designs from Virgil Abloh’s Off-White.
Furthermore, the report states that outerwear designs from luxury labels illustrate a promising future in 2018.
