Govt.Inks 16 MoU’s to Push Textile Manufacturing

The government has entered into 16 MoUs with various textile companies to set up manufacturing facilities at Kakatiya mega Textile Park in Warangal.

The government has entered into 16 MoUs with various textile companies to set up manufacturing facilities at Kakatiya mega Textile Park in Warangal. Industries ministerKT Rama Rao said the process of land allotment to interestedcompanies and investors is being done. The governmentis establishing textile parks, handloom parks and apparel parks to promote the textile industry with the concept of “farm to fashion” in the state, he said.

To promote and build upon the state’s strong textile base through integrated value chain approach and to attractinvestors in the textile industry, the government is offeringincentives and benefits to eligible industrial entrepreneurs through Telanagana-Textile and Apparel Policy. Infrastructure like approach roads, internal roads, arterial roads works are initiated. Rao said direct and indirect employment to 1.13 lakh people would begenerated after full implementation of project.
