Gokaldas Exports Limited has announced the appointment of Sreeja Balachandra as Associate Vice President at its Bengaluru headquarters. In her new role, she will lead key transformational initiatives and spearhead continuous improvement programs across the company’s manufacturing operations.
At Gokaldas Exports, Balachandra will focus on strengthening operational excellence by driving process optimization, improving productivity, and building organizational capabilities across manufacturing units. Her mandate includes implementing strategic improvement frameworks and supporting the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and competitiveness in the global apparel manufacturing landscape.
Prior to joining Gokaldas Exports, Balachandra served as Head – Manufacturing Excellence at Classic Fashion Apparel Industry Ltd. Co. She previously held the same leadership role at Texport Overseas Pvt. Ltd., where she played a pivotal role in advancing operational performance and efficiency initiatives.
Earlier in her career, she worked in senior leadership positions at Shahi Exports Pvt. Ltd. and Bhartiya International Limited, gaining extensive experience in lean manufacturing, quality management systems, and organizational development. Her professional journey reflects deep expertise in driving large-scale operational transformation within the apparel manufacturing sector.
In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Balachandra also contributes to industry-academia collaboration as a Board Member at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kannur, where she represents the NIFT Alumni and Industry Advisory Board (NAIAB).
