Dockers Ventures into the Indian Market: Plans to Establish 25 Stores by 2025

The brand is pursuing a strong physical presence by intending to launch five stores this year in tier 1 and metro cities. Looking forward, it seeks to establish an additional 20 stores next year, with offline expansion bolstered by partnerships with department stores.

Berry Singh, the Chief Operating Officer of Ace Turtle, disclosed these plans while detailing the brand’s rollout strategy. Additionally, the brand’s online channel is set to launch this week.

Global apparel brand Dockers has made its debut in the Indian fashion retail market by inaugurating its inaugural store in Pacific Mall, Delhi.

The brand is strategically aiming for a robust physical presence by planning to open five stores this year in tier 1 and metro cities such as Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore, and Mumbai.

Dockers is planning a significant expansion strategy in India. In addition to the initial five stores in tier 1 and metro cities, the brand aims to open 20 more stores in the following year. This expansion will be supported by partnerships with department stores like Shoppers Stop. Furthermore, the brand will launch its online channel this week.

To facilitate its entry into the Indian market, Dockers has partnered with retail technology firm Ace Turtle. Ace Turtle, renowned for managing licenses for prestigious fashion and lifestyle brands such as Lee, Wrangler, Toys ‘R’ Us, and Babies ‘R’ Us in India, will oversee both offline and online expansion efforts for Dockers.

Natalie MacLennan, CEO of Dockers, expressed enthusiasm about the Indian market, citing it as a significant opportunity to engage with a new generation of consumers who value quality, comfort, and style. The partnership with Ace Turtle will ensure the delivery of the brand’s experience to consumers across the country.
