Lankan apparel export giant MAS Holdings bags ‘Exporting Conglomerate of the Year Award’

Sri Lanka-based apparel export company MAS Holdings has bagged prime recognition as the ‘Exporting Conglomerate of the Year’ was bestowed upon the exporter at Presidential Export Awards 2018 held recently at BMICH, Colombo.

At the event, MAS Intimates, owned by MAS Holdings — South Asia’s major manufacturer of lingerie products, was honoured with ‘Exporter of the Year Award’ and ‘Net Foreign Exchange Earner’ and ‘Contributor from the Region to the Export Supply Chain’ awards.

Not only this, MAS Intimates emerged as the ‘Highest Foreign Exchange Earner – Apparel’ and the ‘Highest Foreign Exchange Earner – Footwear’ by MAS Fabrics Matrix.

President Maithripala Sirisena gave away the awards [Presidential Export Awards (PEA)] are the most esteemed honor for the export industry in Sri Lanka and is given to exporters who have enacted a major part to the country’s overall exports.

Amused with the recognition received, Deshamanya Mahesh Amalean, Chairman & Co-founder of MAS Holdings, said, “MAS is proud to have contributed towards positioning Sri Lanka as an ethical and sustainable destination for high value-added, technologically advanced design-to-delivery apparel solutions.”
