H&M Group Appoints Anastacia Howe as Sustainability Specialist to Champion Labour Rights in Global Supply Chain

In a continued effort to deepen its commitment to ethical sourcing and responsible production, H&M Group has appointed Anastacia Howe as Sustainability Specialist within its global Social Impact team for production, with a focus on labour rights.

With a solid foundation in human rights and impactful experience driving climate results in Vietnam and Cambodia, Anastacia brings a people-first perspective to her new role—centred around the individuals behind every product. Her appointment strengthens H&M Group’s focus on creating fairer, safer, and more inclusive supply chains.

In this role, Anastacia will lead efforts across key social impact areas, including:

  • Case handling and worker grievance mechanisms

  • Occupational safety and health

  • Freedom of association

  • The Global Framework Agreement

  • National Monitoring Committees

“This new role brings me closer to what has always driven my work: the people behind the product,” Anastacia said.
“It’s where my passion lies.”

Her practical, collaborative approach—honed through on-the-ground work in supplier engagement—will be instrumental in building trust-based relationships across H&M Group’s supply chain. As she steps into this new challenge, Anastacia’s focus remains clear: protecting worker dignity, ensuring their voice is heard, and improving workplace conditions at every level.

This appointment underscores H&M Group’s vision to lead with accountability and care, aligning its sustainability strategy with real impact for garment workers worldwide.
