Jacob John has taken on the role of CEO – Emerging Business at Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited, marking a pivotal milestone in a career that has shaped some of India’s most influential fashion and lifestyle brands. His appointment follows a strong tenure as President – Premium Brands at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (ABFRL), where he played a key role in scaling several premium labels and strengthening the group’s leadership in the category. Known for his strategic clarity, commercial acumen, and ability to build high-equity brands, Jacob has consistently delivered growth across every leadership mandate.
Before stepping into this new responsibility, Jacob served as CEO & Managing Director at Modenik Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd., an Advent International company, where he helped consolidate and elevate one of India’s largest essential-wear portfolios. He previously held the role of Deputy CEO at Lifestyle Department Stores under the Landmark Group, contributing to the expansion of one of India’s most successful department store formats. His long association with Madura Fashion & Lifestyle includes influential positions such as Chief Operating Officer – Louis Philippe and Brand Director – Louis Philippe, where he shaped and strengthened one of India’s most respected menswear brands.
With deep expertise across retail, premium fashion, and lifestyle categories, Jacob now steps into a role designed to accelerate Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands’ emerging business portfolio, bringing renewed energy to categories poised for rapid growth.
