Zara parent Inditex to launch all its brands online

Inditex, the owner of globally popular fashion brand Zara, has announced that all of its brands will be made available on the e-commerce platform by the year 2020.

The announcement was made by Inditex CEO Pablo Isla during the re-launch of the iconic Zara flagship store on Milan’s Corso Vittorio Emanuele on September 4, 2018. The agenda is to make its brands available across channels world over, even in the nations where Inditex is yet to have the physical retail presence.

Inditex at present has stores in 96 international markets and operates online in 49. Other than Zara, the fashion company also owns Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe.

The company also has plans in place to meet the ambitious target in the next two years. The brands will implement the Integrated Stock Management System in all the nations where they have a physical store. This will enable the labels to fulfil the online orders with store inventory on time.

Seeing the run to go digital among the fashion brands, the move by Inditex has come at the right time and may give hiccups to competitor of Zara, like H&M (Hennes & Mauritz AB) and GAP Inc.
