Zalando, Europe’s leading online fashion and lifestyle marketplace, has announced the appointment of Anna Dimitrova as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective January 1, 2026. In her new role, Dimitrova will join the company’s management board and oversee Zalando’s finance and corporate governance functions, reinforcing its ambition to build a pan-European fashion and lifestyle e-commerce ecosystem.
Currently serving as Group CFO at Deutsche Glasfaser, Dimitrova brings extensive experience in financial leadership and strategic transformation. Her career spans several key roles at Vodafone Group, where she served as CFO for Vodafone Germany and Czech Republic and as Group Financial Controller, leading cross-functional teams through major business transitions and growth phases.
Dimitrova’s appointment follows Zalando’s recent leadership expansion, including the addition of Thomas Schwulera, former L’Oréal executive, as Vice President for Beauty—a category that has seen double-digit growth in the past year.
The announcement comes as Zalando continues to strengthen its market position following the acquisition of rival retailer About You and a rise in profits in its second quarter, prompting the company to raise its full-year guidance in August.
