What we know is that the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) is a United States Trade Act that was initiated in 2000, under which certain privileges are given to the African nations to exports products, including garment and textile, to the US. The act has been renewed till 2025, notably.
Now to further strengthen trade ties, 6-day AGOA Expo and Trade Fair will be held from September 25, 2018, at New York Marriott Marquis Hotel, New York (USA). The fair will serve as a business platform to rejoice US-Africa cooperation, fortify two-pronged trade relations, encourage AGOA export products and investment prospects.
AGOA permits over 6,500 products from Sub-Saharan African nations to enter the US duty-free.
The fair will give American firms a chance to expand their business or introduce new products, services in the 40 African nations entitled with direct access to Authorities and Business Leaders.
