Home textile company Trident records massive profit surge

Indian textiles manufacturer Trident Ltd. has witnessed a 53 percent rise in its net profit to Rs. 112 crore for the quarter ended December 2018 as against the Rs. 73 crore it  posted during the same period last fiscal.

The company’s revenue also jumped 18 percent to Rs. 1,291 crore as compared to Rs. 1,094 crore it had reported in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.

Operating profit or EBITDA was also up 18 percent at Rs. 269 crore against Rs. 227 crore.

Trident is now looking to expand its retail presence in the country by doubling its point of sales and expects to be Rs.1000 crore brand by 2020.

Trident currently has around 400 points of sales across the country with manufacturing facilities at Barnala, Punjab, and Budni, Madhya Pradesh.
