CMAI

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) has signed key Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with the Noida Apparel Export Cluster (NAEC) and the Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan (GEAR) to enhance the garment manufacturing sectors in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The agreements, formalized in Mumbai, are aimed at leveraging collective strengths to expand market opportunities domestically and internationally.

The MOUs focus on promoting trade interests through joint programs, improving knowledge sharing, and increasing participation in trade fairs. They also emphasize a unified representation to Central and State Governments to advocate for garment manufacturers in these regions.

Lalit Thukral, President of NAEC, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating,

“Collaborating with CMAI marks a significant step forward for UP’s garment sector, offering substantial benefits to our exporter members.”

GEAR, which renewed its MOU with CMAI, looks to build on a successful past collaboration. Zakir Hussain, President of GEAR, said, “Our previous association with CMAI has been highly beneficial for Rajasthan’s exporters. We are excited to expand our engagement in trade fairs and industry activities.”

These strategic alliances reinforce CMAI’s commitment to supporting garment manufacturers across India and driving growth in a competitive industry.
