Intimate apparel manufacturer Honey Lady deploys Tukatech technology

Indonesia-based women’s intimate apparel manufacturer Honey Lady has deployed Tukatech’s technology. The solutions by Tukatech, the leading provider of technology solutions to the apparel industry, will help the manufacturer to streamline its design and production processes.

The garment manufacturing company (at first) installed 40 TUKAcad licenses, including SMARTmark NetQ, which fully automates the marker-making process. The apparel maker now also has TUKAcutplan, the materials requirement planning system, to help them plan the procurement, material allocation and waste minimization in advance.

Honey Lady claims to have had all the needed technology in place, from grading/markers to spreading and cutting, but it was still making paper patterns manually. The firm required speed and accuracy to be competitive. This is where Tukatech came in and eliminated manual paper pattern-making, thus amplified output and reduced the sample-making leadtime for Honey Lady.

“Tukatech systems and their engineering consulting helped us streamline the communication and coordination internally. The central data and information that is available to all CAD and non-CAD users in factories or planners and engineers is seamless, which is something we were not able to do with our previous system,” stated Ferdinand Permana, Director of Honey Lady.
