Textile company Raymond joins B2B e-commerce race but for a different reason

Ecommerce

Raymond, India-based textile & garment company, is mulling to enter the B2B e-commerce world. The aim is to hook up retailers and dealers in the sector.

Reportedly, 2,500 retailers across the country have already been enrolled and pilot tests are underway in Ahmedabad and Surat.

As per the report published in ET, Applicate Technology, a SaaS-based Artificial Intelligence startup, is implementing the B2B ecommerce technology for Raymond.

In this project, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be expansively used by Raymond to optimize its sales processes and lead generation. Assistance will also be provided in integrating sales and marketing for a comprehensive view of each retailer and dealer.

Raymond believes that B2B e-commerce will allow garment merchants to automate repeating transactions like order taking and allows much larger focus on business development, collection and merchandising.

The AI tech will provide real-time sales order status, give the latest updates on new product arrivals, promotions & catalog, visibility of prices, schemes, claims, and escalation of unresolved issues for retailers & dealers.

Going hi-tech, it also has ‘Sellina’ (an AI BOT trained in sales) who can assist, train and engage with millions of retailers simultaneously.

Notably, Sellina can understand the sales related conversations and assist the sales team and channel partners with data, information, and content based on a natural language conversation in voice and text.
