English online fashion retailer, which has been witnessing a sluggish business for a while now, has announced the departure of its CEO Angela Spindler, who will exit from her role by month-end after leading for five long years.
Notably, the 13 weeks up to June 2, 2018, witnessed group’s product revenue to dip by 2.8 percent. N Brown specialises in plus-size apparels and owns Jacamo and Simply Be labels as well. Three months back, the retailer began discussions on strategies to shut all of its shops, to make a shift to an digital-only business model.
The company said it will now start hunting for a new CEO.
“Angela has led the business with passion, energy and a relentless focus on building on the group’s industry-leading fit specialism, as well as building N Brown’s online capability and expertise. We recognise that now is an appropriate time to search for a new leader who can take the business forward through the next phase of its development,” averred N Brown Chairman Matt Davies.
To fill in the position on interim basis, Steve Johnson, currently the CEO of Financial Services, will take up the responsibility for now.
