Michael Kors ropes in Andrea Pesaresi to helm Men’s Business, make it worth US $ 1 Bn

American luxury fashion brand Michael Kors has appointed Andrea Pesaresi as President of its Men’s Segment. He is expected to take charge from October 15, 2018.

Pesaresi most recently worked as the CEO of Philippe Model, the Italian-French footwear brand. However, he a vast experience as a high-end men’s fashion designer who has worked with the Italian luxury fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna for 25 years. There he looked after the Z Zegna brand as Director and managed operations such as product development, brand strategising, global expansion and promotion.

In his new role at Michael Kors, Pesaresi will work to transform the men’s ready-to-wear offering of the brand and simultaneously bolster its sales. And as John Idol, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Kors put: “Andrea will provide the necessary leadership to enable us (the company) to achieve our goal of developing the Michael Kors menswear business to US $ 1 billion in revenue.”

Markedly, Michael Kors’ brands cover the entire range of fashion luxury categories including women’s and men’s accessories, footwear and apparel in addition to wearable technology, watches, jewelry, eyewear and a complete assortment of fragrance products.
