Tesco has recognized and honored Vinod Hirdaramani and Ceylon Knit Trends by presenting them an award for “Innovation Excellence” for introducing 3D e-fit solutions by Tukatech for reducing sample approval time.
Earlier this year, Tukatech and Hirdaramani performed a series of tests for Tesco using patterns from their children’s line.
Each 3D clothing design sample was followed by a real fabric sample made from same patterns and the results were astonishing for everyone.
The patterns, created by Hirdaramani on a TUKAcad pattern making systems, were draped in the computer using the e-fit Simulator by TUKA and sent via email to Tesco’s development centre in Britain.
Problems seen in the virtual sample were also apparent in the physical samples, and so were the corrections,
showing that the digital and physical samples were exactly the same, according to Vindhya Jayasinghe of Tesco.
