India to be present as Partner Country at trade fair Ambiente 2019

India will be the Partner Country at Ambiente 2019, the world’s leading international trade fair for interior decor, dining, cooking, household goods, gift items, jewellery and fashion accessories. Jaipur-based designer Ayush Kasliwal and Bengaluru-based Sandeep Sangaru will design the India pavilion and the cafe, at the trade fair.

Notably, India is one of the very few countries in the world that still makes textiles.

Ministry of Textiles of India even partnered with Messe Frankfurt, organisers of the show, to showcase the Design Concepts on the lines of “Future is Handmade” at a press conference in New Delhi, recently.

This will allow Indian artisans to present the best of crafts and modern design thinking on a global platform, Ambiente which over 50 countries.

The 2019 edition will take place from February 8-12, in Frankfurt, Germany. With close to 4,500 exhibitors and over 140,000 visitors, Ambiente 2019 promises unparalleled business opportunities.

As a top participant at Ambiente, over 400 Indian manufacturers present Indian workmanship at the global fair. Notably, Indian handicraft exports stood at Rs. 23,029 crore for 2017-18.
