Swedish fashion retailer H&M Group has appointed Henrik Kroon as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), reinforcing its leadership team as the company accelerates its commercial transformation and long-term growth strategy.
A seasoned H&M executive, Kroon has been associated with the company since 2010, steadily rising through key leadership positions across finance, retail operations and commercial development. Announcing his appointment on LinkedIn, Kroon expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating that he looks forward to working with the company’s global teams to strengthen the business, build on the momentum achieved in recent years and lead H&M into its next phase of growth.
Before joining H&M, Kroon spent nearly six years at Ericsson, where he gained extensive experience in finance and business operations. He entered H&M as Global Controller – Construction and has since held several strategic leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer for H&M Canada, Global Head of Retail Space, and most recently, Chief Commercial Development Officer.
His elevation to Chief Commercial Officer comes at a significant time for the global fashion retailer. H&M continues to sharpen its focus on customer-centric retail, omnichannel expansion, and operational efficiency while navigating a rapidly evolving global apparel market.
The leadership announcement also coincides with broader developments within the company, as H&M’s founding family has completed a substantial share repurchase programme, further increasing its ownership stake and reaffirming its long-term commitment to the business.
With Kroon taking charge of the commercial function, industry observers will closely watch how H&M advances its growth agenda and strengthens its competitive position in the global fashion retail landscape.
