Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL) has appointed Jeyandran Venugopal as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, a significant move as the company reshapes its top leadership to support its next phase of growth. Venugopal joins from Flipkart, where he spent over six years and most recently served as Chief Product and Technology Officer, overseeing product, engineering, design, data science, IT, security, infrastructure, marketing, customer growth, monetisation, and the commerce cloud business.
With over 25 years of experience, Venugopal brings deep expertise across e-commerce and global technology platforms. His earlier leadership roles include CPTO at Myntra and Jabong, where he guided product and engineering teams through major expansion phases, and previous stints at Yahoo and Amazon Web Services working on large-scale tech and commerce systems. At RRVL, he will focus on strengthening the company’s vast retail portfolio and accelerating its shift toward a robust omni-channel ecosystem powered by technology-led efficiencies.
Venugopal joins RRVL’s senior leadership bench alongside V Subramaniam, who continues as Managing Director of Reliance Retail Ltd. His appointment marks a new structural chapter for the company as it manages an expanding retail footprint and prepares for the next era of innovation-driven growth.
