Carrefour India, Apparel Group, has announced the appointment of Raghu Tiwari as Category Head, where he will spearhead the Apparel & Fashion divisions. In his new role, Raghu will oversee category management, buying and merchandising across apparel, footwear, and accessories. His responsibilities span space planning, OTB and budgeting, sales forecasting, assortment planning, product development, sourcing, pricing strategy, MRP laddering, system implementations, and building a high-performing team—reflecting his deep command over end-to-end category leadership.
With a strong and diverse background across India’s leading retail and e-commerce brands, Raghu brings extensive experience in buying, merchandising, strategic sourcing, fashion forecasting, P&L ownership, and omni-channel operations. At V-Mart Retail, he successfully led the Men’s division and LimeRoad online platform, driving new product launches, brand partnerships, promotions, VM elevation, inventory planning, and delivering strong profitability across channels. Prior to that, at Snapdeal, he helmed the Apparel Fashion vertical, expanding category contribution significantly while improving margins through strategic initiatives.
Raghu’s career journey also includes impactful roles at Reliance Retail, Blackberrys Menswear, adidas, New Look–Indochine India, and Triburg, where he mastered product development, sourcing, innovation, forecasting, inventory optimization, and vendor management. Recognized for his leadership, analytical strength, and deep category expertise, Raghu is set to play a pivotal role in scaling Carrefour India’s fashion business with strategic precision and market-driven vision.
