Pepe Jeans India Limited has appointed Animesh Kumar as Assistant Vice President – Distribution & Value Retail, further strengthening its leadership team as the brand sharpens its focus on expansion across India. Based in Mumbai, Kumar will lead pan-India sales and distribution, playing a key role in driving retail growth and enhancing the brand’s market presence.
In his new role, Kumar will oversee retail outlet expansion, market penetration, and channel development in line with Pepe Jeans India’s growth strategy. His mandate spans EBO, MBO, and SIS formats, with a strong emphasis on scaling value retail and optimising distribution efficiency to support sustainable and profitable growth.
Kumar brings over two decades of experience in the Indian apparel and fashion retail industry, with a proven track record of building high-performing retail networks and delivering consistent revenue growth across both premium and mass-market segments. Most recently, he served as Director – Sales at Being Human Clothing. Prior to that, he was associated with Reliance Brands Limited, managing zonal sales and distribution for brands such as GAS, La Martina, and Starter across West and South India.
Earlier in his career, Kumar spent a significant tenure with the Arvind Group, where he successfully scaled operations across multiple brands and channels. With deep expertise in retail expansion strategy, distributor and franchise management, P&L ownership, and sales forecasting, his appointment comes at a pivotal time as Pepe Jeans India accelerates its distribution footprint and strengthens execution across value-led retail channels.
